Reef safe with caution

Flame angels tend to be among the safer dwarf angels to keep in a reef, they usually just eat the dead tissue around the base of the coral without harming the live tissue. They need a varied diet of meaty food, seaweed, sponge, and spirulina. Flames can get a little territorial over time, so you may have trouble adding small fish after your flame angel becomes comfortable in its territory.
